Khotyn Fortress is a fortification complex dating back to the 10th century which is located in western Ukraine. It's positioned south-west of Kamianets-Podilskyi on the river banks of the Dniester River in Khotyn, Ukraine, the administrative center of the Khotynskyi Raion within the Chernivtsi Oblast. The fortress originally was a fort called Khotyn Fort and was built in the 10th century by Prince Vladimir Sviatoslavich, also known as "Vladimir I of Kiev" and "Vladimir Svyatoslavich the Great."
